About Me
Hi! My name is Kori and I started Stitch N Seam in 2020. I learned how to crochet when I was only 11 years old and have been doing it since.
I first started out making blankets and slowly started to challenge myself by trying clothing items, plushies, and now handmade doilies.
My biggest inspiration for starting this business is my Great-Grandmother Betty. I grew up watching her, Grandma Linda, Great-Aunt Karen, and Aunt Lori all crochet anything from blankets, dish rags, Barbie-doll clothing, and even name doilies.
Before the Covid-19 pandemic happened in 2020, crochet was not as popular as it is now. I hated the idea that crochet was losing popularity and might be something that gets forgotten about. I wanted to make sure I did my part and learned how to crochet and keep the craft alive. Once the Pandemic happened, the world of crochet grew tremendously! Now, my goal for my crochet-based business is to help support this new world where crochet is welcomed and honored by most.
My entire business is not only supported by myself, but also my family. I have a daughter and a wonderful husband. Everything that I do with this business, is to help support them and also fuel my dreams of owning my own physical shop.
I couldn't have grown this business without the help and support I have had from not only family, but also the local community.
